Job summary

thyssenkrupp Forged Technologies in Danville, IL seeks a Maintenance Engineer to address and assist in maintenance issues, ensuring smooth production line operation. You will communicate with line operators, determine actions from manuals, and support during major repairs.

The role focuses on planning shutdowns, developing preventative maintenance plans, and maintaining 5S standards while driving continuous improvement across equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 6–10 years in a technical manufacturing field.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and lubrication.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with line operators regarding technical assistance.
• Use operating manuals and online sources to determine repair actions.
• Assist during major repairs and plan for shutdowns.
• Develop preventative maintenance plans and downtime reduction strategies.
• Assign PMs and work orders to maintenance staff.
• Maintain 5S standards and contribute to continuous improvements.
