Abbott Laboratories in Columbus, OH is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to conduct scheduled maintenance, diagnose faults, and perform repairs across mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems. You will interpret blueprints, work with conveyors and packaging machines, and lead improvements to yield and cycle times.

The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering or a related technical field and 4+ years of maintenance engineering experience.

Qualifications

Engineering degree or technical field required.
4+ years of experience in a maintenance engineering role preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance, diagnose, troubleshoot faults and repairs; coordinate with outside contractors.
Perform complex maintenance including mechanical, pneumatics and electrical systems.
Interpret blueprints/schematics and understand conveyors, depositors, p&p machines and weighing equipment.
Prepare technical feedback on engineering performance related to yield/output.
Lead maintenance or process issues and work independently or in a team.
Monitor production processes, run diagnostics and document resolution methods.
Certify and train manufacturing associates in production processes.
Analyze operating data to adjust products/instruments and revise procedures as needed.
Identify and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
Install and validate equipment to improve yield or reduce cycle time.
