Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for Residence Inn Montgomeryville in North Wales, PA. The role involves assisting with operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel equipment across guest rooms, kitchens, HVAC systems, and amenities.

The ideal candidate has hotel maintenance experience and a high school diploma, with a preferred trade license in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry. A valid driver's license and clean MVR are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
• Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR) property specific.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms (light bulbs, minor repairs, caulking, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, pool and spa.
• Perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, and maintenance on exhaust fans and supply; monitor energy use.
• Investigate alarms and report findings to the Front Desk to determine emergency status.
• Follow up on other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Change out light bulbs; perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms to include: vinyl repair touch up paint minor furniture repair tub caulking tile repairs, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, the swimming pool and hot tub.
• Perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply; monitor energy conservation; repair vacuum cleaners and any other small equipment upon request.
• Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause – determine emergency status and report to the Front Desk with findings.
• Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
