Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Nashville. The role focuses on preventive and reactive maintenance across guest areas, rooms, and public spaces, with emphasis on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks.

The ideal candidate will have hotel maintenance experience, basic math skills, and strong communication. This full-time position offers daily pay options, diverse benefits, and opportunities for growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• Oversees property grounds, public areas and guest rooms.

• Checks fixtures, lighting and signs; maintains spare parts stock.
• Responds to maintenance orders and fulfills work orders promptly.
• Completes daily rounds and reports issues; performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs
• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner
• Fulfills work orders in a timely manner
• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
• Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (2) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
• Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
