Job summary

Kensington360 is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of building facilities and manufacturing equipment in an advanced manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with other technicians and the Environmental Health & Safety team to keep operations safe, efficient and with minimal downtime, applying strong electrical, mechanical and PLC troubleshooting skills across PLCs, servo motors, CNC machines and facility systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance.
• Ability to read schematics and OEM manuals.
• Familiarity with LOTO, PPE and safety protocols.

Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of building facilities and manufacturing equipment within an advanced manufacturing environment. You will work closely with other technicians and the Environmental Health & Safety team to keep operations running safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and is comfortable working across a range of equipment, including PLCs, servo motors, CNC machines and facility systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain building facilities and manufacturing equipment to support safe, uninterrupted production.


• Work collaboratively with other technicians to complete maintenance activities.


• Support the Environmental Health & Safety team with maintenance and safety-related activities.


• Perform electrical wiring, pneumatic, PLC and servo motor maintenance.


• Manage inventory and spare parts required for preventive maintenance and repairs.


• Install new electrical circuits in accordance with safety protocols.


• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hot Work, Arc Flash and PPE requirements.


• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled equipment repairs.


• Troubleshoot electronic circuits and PLCs using schematics and OEM manuals.


• Carry out mechanical and parameter adjustments.


• Dismantle machines for repairs and preventive maintenance.


• Coordinate with internal and external technical support for CNC machines and production equipment.


• Assist in developing and reviewing preventive maintenance procedures and policies.


• Execute work orders and coordinate with external vendors for equipment maintenance.


• Maintain emergency lighting, fire pump systems, alarms, extinguishers and eyewash stations.


• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure work areas are cleaned and restocked at the end of each shift.


• Participate in continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.


• Perform other duties as required to support the maintenance department and wider business.

Requirements

• Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.


• Strong electrical, mechanical and PLC troubleshooting skills.


• Working knowledge of pneumatics, servo motors and CNC or production equipment.


• Ability to read and interpret schematics and OEM manuals.


• Familiarity with LOTO, Hot Work, Arc Flash and appropriate PPE.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems is a plus.
