  • Perform major and minor maintenance work as needed.
  • Assist with inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire safety-related equipment.

How you’ll contribute
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems and structures throughout the facility.
  • Installs, tests, maintains, operates and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
  • Performs major and minor maintenance work.
  • Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
  • Assists with inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors and other fire/safety‑related equipment and systems.
  • Performs preventative maintenance procedures on equipment, building systems, and utility systems as assigned.
  • Moves items within/between locations and from/to storage.
  • Assembles and relocates furniture.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent Required.
Licenses
  • New Mexico State Driver’s License
Minimum Work Experience
  • Two years’ institutional/commercial maintenance experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and/or electronic systems required.
Skills
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
Schedule

Full‑time; Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; rotating on‑call schedule every 4 weeks.
