Job summary

Radisson Hotel La Crosse is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a part-time role with an average of 20 hours per week. Training is available for the right candidate eager to learn and grow in the role.

The position requires the ability to respond quickly to equipment issues, perform repairs, and support preventative maintenance across hotel facilities. Experience in hospitality maintenance is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Facility maintenance experience in hospitality preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a driving record check.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Works well independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Adhere to hotel policies and procedures.

• HVAC CPO certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to reports of non-functioning equipment immediately.
• Maintains problem logbook to record repairs and priorities.
• Reports hazards or injuries and takes corrective action.
• Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs.
• Understands the Room Preventative Maintenance Program (R.P.M.).
• Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Maintains lobbies and restaurants in good condition.
• Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile, windows, mirrors and decorations.
• Maintains operating equipment by routine checks and repairs.

The Radisson Hotel La Crosse is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team! Experience is not required, as we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow in the role.

The Radisson Hotel La Crosse isa 163 room Hotel nestled within Riverside Park overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River.

SHIFT

Part-Time | Average 20 Hours per Week | Weekend Availability Required: Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM | Some Weekday Hours Available

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responds to both customer and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately
• Maintains problem logbook to record the equipment in need of repair and prioritizes efforts accordingly
• Reports any hazards or injuries in the department or hotel and takes immediate action to correct
• Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed
• Understands the Room Preventative Maintenance Program (R.P.M.)
• Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel
• Maintains the condition of hotel lobbies and restaurants
• Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors and decorations as necessary
• Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs
  

REQUIREMENTS

• Ideal candidate will have facility maintenance experience, preferably within the hospitality industry
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to successfully pass a driving record check
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Works well independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to exceptional guest service
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when handling all situations
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
• Working knowledge of computer and math skills.
• Experience in pool maintenance, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical work is also a benefit
• Certifications for HVAC CPO preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to hear with 100% accuracy with correction
• Ability to stand and exert well paced mobility for an eight (8) hour shift
• Ability to lift, pull, push up to 100 pounds on an ongoing basis
• Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist on an ongoing basis
