Opal Collection in Key West, FL is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to handle upkeep, repairs, and guest maintenance requests while servicing resort equipment. The role requires a practical, hardworking individual with strong problem-solving abilities.

Physical stamina and solid technical knowledge are essential for success. Responsibilities include basic maintenance across painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pool/spa systems; troubleshooting machinery; noting items in need of attention

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar role.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Detail oriented with aptitude for problem-solving.
• Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance tasks including painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pool & spa (minor repairs).
• Troubleshoot and repair company machinery, equipment, or appliances.
• Walk the property to note items needing attention.
• Respond to guest room and maintenance calls promptly.
• Keep maintenance storage areas neat and clean.
• Participate in inventory control.

Maintenance Engineers will be responsible for all upkeep and repair duties including identifying the need for repairs, responding to guests’ maintenance requests, and servicing company equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic maintenance tasks including, but not limited to: painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pool & spa (minor repairs)
• Troubleshoot and repair company machinery equipment or appliances
• While walking throughout the property, make note of items in need of attention
• Respond to guest room calls/maintenance calls in a timely manner
• Keep all maintenance storage areas neat and clean
• Be an active participant in inventory control

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent qualification required
• Minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role
• Extremely organized with good communication skills
• Detailed oriented with an aptitude for problem-solving
• Must be a team player
