Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience applying Lean/TPM/WCM in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven ability to lead maintenance improvements and document SMPs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead ongoing development and implementation of Professional Maintenance principles, tools, and best practices.
  • Apply engineering methods to reduce equipment failures and maximize reliability.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on chronic machine issues using data.
  • Develop and advance Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) strategies and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Create and update Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) and related drawings/schematics.
  • Collaborate across departments as the main interface for Professional Maintenance activities and reliability data.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and engaged Maintenance Engineer to foster a continuous improvement culture across our Operations Maintenance functions. In this role, you will provide leadership and technical guidance using Lean and World-Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles—specifically focusing on Professional Maintenance methodologies to reduce equipment losses, eliminate waste, and increase overall plant reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Methodology & Continuous Improvement: Support Operations Maintenance with the ongoing development and implementation of Professional Maintenance principles, tools, and best practices.
  • Loss Elimination & Reliability: Apply proper engineering methods to reduce equipment failures, extend machine life cycles, and maximize reliability.
  • Data & Root Cause Analysis: Utilize current and historical operational data to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on chronic machine issues.
  • Condition-Based Maintenance: Develop and advance Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) strategies and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Standardization & Documentation: Create, validate, and update Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) as well as engineering drawings, prints, and schematics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the main interface across departments for Professional Maintenance activities, methods, and reliability data.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Controls, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) PLUS 5+ years of technical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • 8+ years of combined post-high school education and hands‑on manufacturing/engineering experience.
Technical & Professional Skills
  • Proven track record of executing mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering projects within a manufacturing setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of World-Class Manufacturing (WCM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), or Lean manufacturing frameworks.
  • Strong ability to read, validate, and update technical drawings and schematics.
  • Solid time management, prioritization, and analytical problem-solving skills.
