Job summary

Tetra Pak in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform complex maintenance and installation on food processing equipment. You will work hands-on with cutting-edge equipment to keep global production running safely and efficiently, traveling to customer sites across the country.

As part of Customer Service Operations, you will diagnose issues, restore equipment performance, and support production during events.

Qualifications

• 1+ years hands-on equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience with food processing or packaging equipment preferred or equivalent fields.
• High school, vocational or technical diploma focused on hands-on work.
• Able to travel extensively across the United States, about 90% travel.
• Conversational English skills (written and verbal).
• Customer-focused, proactive, safety-first mindset.
• Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to expand technical knowledge.
• Valid driver's license required for extensive travel by car and air.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites and perform preventive maintenance per global Tetra Pak standards.
• Disassemble and re-assemble capital equipment for maintenance.
• Install tasks including electromechanical rebuilding kit installations.
• Test, calibrate, and verify equipment readiness.
• Document and report service work using TPMS tools.
• Serve as a technical resource for customers during production events.
• Propose ideas to improve customer productivity and business development.
• Represent Tetra Pak professionally and maintain customer relationships.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow safety protocols per OHS and Tetra Pak regulations.

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Engineer at Tetra Pak, you’ll perform complex maintenance and installation activities. You’ll work hands‑on with cutting‑edge food industry equipment, solving problems that keep global food production running safely and efficiently.

As part of our Customer Service Operations team, you will be first in the field tomaintainfood processing and packaging equipment at our customers’ facilities. What you will do

Travel to customer sites to:

• Independently execute preventive maintenance activities in line with global Tetra Pak standards
• Perform mechanical disassembly and re-assembly of capital equipment
• Deliver installation tasks, including electromechanical rebuilding kit installations
• Conduct testing, calibration, and verification activities to ensure equipment readiness
• Use Tetra Pak Maintenance System (TPMS) tools to document and report all service work
• Act as a technical resource for customers during production and maintenance events
• Proactively contribute ideas that support customer productivity and business development
• Represent Tetra Pak professionally, maintaining strong customer relationships
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety protocols in accordance with OHS and Tetra Pak regulations, promoting a strong safety culture in every task

We believe you have

• 1+ years of hands‑on equipment maintenance experience, performing preventive maintenance, equipment installations, rebuild activities, and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience working with food processing or packaging equipment is strongly preferred; however, candidates with relevant experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, automotive, or other technical service environments are also encouraged to apply.
• A high school, vocational school, or technical diploma focused on hands‑on technical work
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States, with approximately 90% travel required, typically in two‑week assignments at customer sites, including occasional weekend travel.
• Conversational English skills (written and verbal)
• A customer‑focused, proactive, and safety‑first mindset
• A continuous improvement attitude with a willingness to expand technical knowledge
• A valid driver’s license is required for extensive travel to customer sites by car and air.
• You must be work authorized in the United States on a full‑time basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future. The company cannot offer employment to F‑1 (student) visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full‑time basis.

Pay Equity

Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.

Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This compensation range is based on a full‑time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work‑related allowances.

• Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $60,600 - $86,400 USD
• Short‑term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS.
