Job summary

The Arnott’s Group is seeking a trade-qualified Maintenance Electrician for its Virginia manufacturing site on a rotating shift roster. The role involves fault finding, repairing high-speed equipment, and supporting PLC diagnostics to keep lines running safely and reliably.

You’ll work across automation systems, perform planned maintenance, and collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to drive continuous improvement. SAP experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Fault-find and repair electrical issues on high-speed manufacturing equipment
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
• Complete preventative and planned electrical maintenance
• Support PLC diagnostics and troubleshoot automation systems
• Diagnose recurring equipment issues and identify improvements
• Complete maintenance handovers and CMMS documentation
• Work closely with Production, Engineering and Maintenance teams
• Contribute to equipment upgrades and continuous improvement
• Work safely in line with site, OH&S, GMP and quality requirements

Want a role where you can actually use your electrical fault-finding skills?

We’re looking for a trade-qualifiedMaintenance Electrician to join our Engineering team at Arnott’s Virginia.

You’ll work across high-speed manufacturing equipment, responding to breakdowns, completing planned maintenance and diagnosing electrical and automation faults to keep our production lines running safely and reliably.

This is a hands-on role for an electrician who enjoys finding the cause of a problem, getting equipment running again and looking for ways to prevent the issue happening next time.

What you’ll be doing

• Fault-find and repair electrical issues on high-speed manufacturing equipment
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
• Complete preventative and planned electrical maintenance
• Support PLC diagnostics and troubleshoot automation systems
• Diagnose recurring equipment issues and identify improvements
• Complete maintenance handovers and CMMS documentation
• Work closely with Production, Engineering and Maintenance teams
• Contribute to equipment upgrades and continuous improvement
• Work safely in line with site, OH&S, GMP and quality requirements

The role spans both reactive and planned maintenance, with a strong focus on equipment reliability and improving site performance.

What we’re looking for

First and foremost, you’ll be a trade-qualified Electrician who is confident working hands‑on with industrial equipment.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Industrial electrical maintenance experience
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
• Experience working with automation systems
• A strong commitment to safe work practices
• A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving
• Clear communication and the ability to work across production and maintenance teams

Experience usingSAP and working in a high-speed FMCG or manufacturing environment would be highly regarded.
