Job summary

Valmont Industries in Newberry, SC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across the manufacturing facility.

You will work independently to minimize downtime, support production, and ensure safety while maintaining equipment such as welders, AC/DC motors, CNCs, transformers and more. This role offers competitive benefits and room for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to independently read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, drawings, equipment specifications, manufacturer manuals, and applicable electrical codes.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, controls, motors, wiring, and industrial electrical equipment.
• Basic knowledge of PLC logic used in troubleshooting CNC and automated manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery and CNC equipment.
• Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Install and repair electrical equipment including generators and transformers.
• Diagnose problems using diagrams and manuals.
• Ensure work complies with electrical codes.
• Document repairs and maintenance activities.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas.
