Job summary

NTA, Carol Stream, IL, seeks a skilled maintenance electrician to support the production of quality parts by maintaining CNC turning lines, forging presses, and induction heat-treat furnaces.

You will install and repair electrical systems from 24 VDC to 480 VAC, work with HMIs, PLCs, sensors, drives, and encoders, and contribute to predictive and preventative maintenance while supporting lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• A two year technical degree or equivalent training attained through hands on work related experience.
• At least 5 years of previous experience as a maintenance electrician in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in repair/maintenance of CNC turning lines, forging presses, and induction heat-treating furnaces.
• Ability to read, draft, and interpret electrical schematics.
• A strong focus on safety and ability to pass written tests for training.
• Willingness to work overtime or on off shifts as needed.
• Experience with HVAC, cooling towers, or related systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installations and repairs on electrical systems from 24VDC to 480VAC.
• Repair and maintenance of HMIs, PLCs, sensors, rectifiers, drives, encoders, and related components.
• Maintenance of motors, gearboxes, bearings, sprockets, and clutches.
• Keep hydraulic and pneumatic components in working condition.
• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Recommend and implement improvements to equipment.
• Perform other duties as needed.
