TekPro is partnering with a manufacturing company in Itasca, IL to hire a Maintenance Electrician for 1st shift. The role focuses on hands-on electrical troubleshooting for manufacturing equipment, motors, and facility systems.

Qualified candidates will have industrial electrical experience, the ability to read schematics, and experience with 480V/3-phase power. This is a direct-hire opportunity requiring strong hands-on maintenance skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Industrial Electrician or equivalent.
• Strong troubleshooting of 480V/3-phase power and electrical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on experience with motors, relays, sensors, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues on manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and facility equipment.
• Work with motor controls, VFDs, starters, relays, and sensors.
• Assist with electrical installations, upgrades, and wiring as needed.
• Support PLC-controlled equipment troubleshooting; programming not required.

TekPro is partnered with an established manufacturing company in Itasca, IL that is looking to add an experienced Maintenance Electrician to its maintenance team.This is a direct-hire opportunity for someone with a strong industrial electrical troubleshooting background who is comfortable working hands-on with manufacturing equipment, electrical controls, motors, and facility systems. The ideal candidate can diagnose electrical problems independently while also assisting with general equipment maintenance when needed.What You'll Be DoingTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues on manufacturing and production equipment.Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and facility equipment.Troubleshoot 480V/3-phase electrical systems, motors, starters, relays, contactors, sensors, and controls.Diagnose electrical faults using multimeters and other testing equipment.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.Troubleshoot motor controls, VFDs, switches, and industrial control systems.Assist with electrical installations, equipment upgrades, wiring, and machine modifications.Support troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment; programming experience is not required.What We're Looking ForPrevious experience as an Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Technician, or Industrial Maintenance Technician.Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills.Experience working with 480V, 3-phase power and industrial electrical systems.Knowledge of motors, motor controls, VFDs, relays, sensors, and electrical control systems.Ability to read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics.Comfortable using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.Position Highlights1st ShiftFull-time, direct-hire opportunityStable manufacturing environmentHands-on electrical troubleshooting positionVariety of equipment and maintenance responsibilitiesOpportunity to utilize both electrical and mechanical maintenance skills
