Our manufacturing facility in Wadsworth, Ohio is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our 2nd Shift team. This role is critical to maintaining and improving the reliability of our extrusion production lines.
A strong electrical maintenance background in a manufacturing environment is required for this position. Candidates must have hands‑on experience with PLC logic controls and understand the interface of drives, motors, and related components.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in keeping our production operations running efficiently and safely. Responsibilities include:
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment including extrusion lines, pelletizers, blenders, and auxiliary systems
Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform scheduled preventative maintenance
Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs
Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled systems and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and complete work orders accurately
Utilize hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
Assist with occasional fabrication (welding), screw pulls, and machine changeovers
Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and technical documents
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all safety protocols
Minimum 4 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong background in electrical maintenance (required)
Experience with PLC logic controls and drive-to-motor interfaces
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Ability to work independently and respond effectively in a fast‑paced production environment
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Must be able to commute to Wadsworth, OH 44281
