Job summary

Silver Line Recruiting LLC is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for a stable, high-volume manufacturing operation in Avon, Ohio. The role focuses on maintaining production equipment, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across the facility.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with stamping presses, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in metal stamping or heavy manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills including: Press repair, Hydraulics and pneumatics, Gearboxes, bearings, and mechanical drives.
• Ability to troubleshoot industrial electrical systems.
• PLC troubleshooting experience is highly desired.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Mechanical stamping presses, feed lines, conveyors, transfer systems, and coil handling equipment.
• Pneumatic and hydraulic systems; Industrial electrical systems up to 480V; Machine rebuilds and component replacements.
• Root cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Maintaining maintenance documentation and work records.
• Supporting continuous improvement efforts to increase equipment reliability and uptime.
• Following all plant safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout practices.

Job description

We are seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join a stable, high-volume manufacturing operation in Avon, OH. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production equipment, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation & Schedule

• $1.50/hour shift differential for 2nd shift
• Saturday hours are paid at overtime rates
• Sunday hours (when required) are paid at double time

Schedule

• Monday - Friday: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
• Rotating Saturdays: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime Pay)
• Occasional Sundays: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Double Time Pay)

Please note: Production schedules may temporarily change due to utility-related power reduction programs. Maintenance has generally remained on its normal 3:30 PM start time.

Ideal Candidate

The team is specifically interested in Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians who possess both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities. Candidates with PLC experience and strong electrical backgrounds will align best with the higher end of the compensation range.

Please note that compensation at the top of the range is generally reserved for technicians with true multi-craft experience rather than strictly mechanical maintenance backgrounds.
