Merakey is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team in the Sunbury, PA area. The role involves a broad range of maintenance across buildings, with hands-on repairs and on-call duties.

You will work under the Maintenance Manager to complete daily tasks, adhere to policies, and participate in trainings. Merakey offers a comprehensive benefits package and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Must have a verifiable High school diploma/G.E.D.
• Must have 3 years of experience.
• Experience in maintenance repairs across multiple trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting)

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with Merakey policies and procedures and comply with them.
• Be directly responsible and report to the Maintenance Manager.
• Complete daily work assignments issued by supervisor.
• Attend periodic staff meetings and trainings.
• Uphold Merakey's missions, values and professional conduct.
• Provide on-call coverage for emergency maintenance.
• Perform proactive and reactive repairs across facilities.
• Perform desk/furniture repair and surface preparation/painting.
• Repair walls, ceilings, electricals, roofs, HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance.

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. The technician will be responsible for locations throughout the Sunbury, PA area.

• Become familiar with the policies and procedures that is associated with Merakey. Comply with these policies and procedures in carrying out all aspects of the job.
• Be directly responsible and report to the Maintenance Manager
• Comply with work schedule. Call the program to report absence or lateness of work.
• Complete daily work assignments made by program supervisor.
• Attend periodic staff meetings and mandatory in-service trainings.
• Uphold the missions, values and philosophy for Service of Merakey and uphold the general standard of professional conduct that relates to the position.
• Assume on-call coverage for emergency maintenance responsibilities.
• Able to work with Power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Proficient performing desk and furniture repair
• Proficient performing surface preparation and paint
• Proficient performing wall and ceiling tile repair
• Proficient performing electrical repairs.
• Proficient performing roof repairs
• Proficient performing repairs to the HVAC system, ongoing maintenance
• Proficient performing parking lot repair and maintenance
• Proficient performing plumbing repair and maintenance
• Proficient performing necessary renovations and upgrades to the physical plant.
• Proficient performing all types of home and building maintenance.
• Perform walkthrough inspections of sites, report and address repairs in a timely manner.
• Perform assigned projects while working with other or independently.

Earn $22/hour in this position.
