Job summary

Leggett & Platt Flooring division in Statesville, NC is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to support our Carpet Underlay manufacturing operations. You will contribute to safer, more efficient production by installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems on industrial equipment.

The role emphasizes following NFPA 79 standards, performing preventative maintenance, and diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults.

Qualifications

• 2+ years electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Understanding and ability to apply NFPA 79 standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Replace faulty electrical components of machines, such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices using hand tools.
• Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components.
• Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Follow manuals, schematic diagrams and blueprints using hand tools and test equipment to connect power supply wires to machines and equipment.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on machinery and electrical systems.
• Must be knowledgeable of the safety requirements in the handling of chemicals and/or hazardous waste.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Leggett & Platt Flooring division, located in Statesville, NC is searching for a Maintenance Electrician to join our Maintenanceteam to help support our Carpet Underlay business.

As a Maintenance Electrician you will have the opportunity to assist in working on projects that will improve current processes in our manufacturing process. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring that our facility follows all electrical requirements. The team you will be working with collaborates to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner, and values great workmanship .

So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Electrician?

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have the following:

• Understanding and ability to apply NFPA 79 standards.
