Job summary

Rite-Hite Company LLC in Horn Lake, MS is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems and manufacturing equipment while supporting preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.

You will analyze circuits, adjust equipment, and work with PLC hardware/software and robotics. A forklift license is required; 4–7 years of industrial maintenance electrical experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required and experience in industrial maintenance electrical work.
  • Ability to troubleshoot a variety of technical devices and processes.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Installs and repairs conduit, splices and insulates wires and cables.
  • Analyzes circuits and wiring diagrams to design, test, service, install, and calibrate equipment.
  • Performs general preventative maintenance and supports predictive maintenance programs.
  • Responds to support calls and assists with maintenance projects as needed.

Rite-Hite is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our HornLake, MS manufacturing facility. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems and manufacturing equipment while supporting preventive maintenance efforts to maximize equipment reliability, minimize production downtime, and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities
  • Installs and repairs conduit, splices and insulates wires and cables.
  • Analyzes all types of circuits and wiring diagrams to design, test, service, install, dismantle, repair, adjust, and calibrate electronic devices and systems, electronic computing and control systems, power distribution control equipment, measuring, recording, processing, and control devices, indicating devices, and instruments.
  • Determines the best manner of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
  • Adjusts all new equipment for proper operating characteristics.
  • Repaire or adjusts equipment such as main motor drives, generators, control panels, relays, switchboards, circuit breakers, lighting circuits, and resistors.
  • Performs general preventative equipment maintenance.
  • Supports predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Answers support calls and assists with maintenance projects as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 4–7years of industrial maintenance electrical experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot a variety of technical devices and processes.
  • Ability to operate mobile and hoisting equipment.
  • Familiarity with robotic programming, PLC hardware and software.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Skills in pneumatic and hydraulic applications are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, product liability awareness, and excellent decision‑making abilities.
  • Problem‑solving skills to determine root cause of technical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • General understanding of quality systems, welding/metal fabrication, tooling/fixturing, manufacturing processes, and maintenance operations.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma desirable.
  • OSHA29CFR1910.331–335 & NFPA70E electrical safety training preferred.
  • Ability to lift 100pounds.
Knowledge / Skill Requirements
  • Forklift license is required.
  • Technical education or journeyman electrician license preferred.
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud or moderate (office 49–58dBA / plant 70–110dBA). Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles worldwide extreme temperatures, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee must be available to respond to urgent situations, including working beyond scheduled hours (evenings and weekends as needed).
