Maintenance Tech

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment asrequired. See JSA & PDA for this position fordetailssafety instructions.
• Understand ISO 9001 requirements / the Woodbridge Quality Policy. Always follow work instructions and procedures asestablishedthrough the Woodbridge Quality Policy.
• Source, quote, order, receiving and management of maintenance parts and equipment from vendors and contractors.
• Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders and receiving in the ITS system.
• Work with other departments within the facility toestablishre-stocking points for MRO items.
• Work with Accounting to reconcile receiving legers for itemspurchasedthrough the ITS P.O. system.
• Maintain plant downtime and equipment records for the facility.
• Helpmaintaininventory control of parts and equipment.
• Maintain all contractor and vendor information packets and insurance certificates (part of the HSE Element activities and the INS Vendor system).
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Can be called upon to receive maintenancerequestand work orders and dispatch maintenance technicians, accordingly, working with the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Keepareaneat, organized, and clean as well as follow 5S principlesas they areappropriate.
• Support 5S activities throughout the facility including Kaizen submissions.
• Crosstrainin other positions asrequired.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed by the employee’s supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May be called upon for limited supervision of themaintenancetechnicians in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills arerequired.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Must have the ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations. AutoCAD experience would be an added benefit in this position.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data,establishfacts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to read and understand mechanical (CAD) drawings.
