Job summary

Saras Micro Devices is seeking an EHS and Facilities Specialist to design and implement safety systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will manage equipment and facility safety, update processes, and perform risk assessments in collaboration with the team.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, strong communication, and the ability to lead contractors when management is unavailable. Competitive salary and benefits are offered in a fast-growing startup setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance or related field is required or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with near-miss reporting, root causes, preventive measures and safety audits.
• Experience with site safety policies and EHS compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly site and laboratory audits for hazards (slips, trips, falls, pinches, etc).
• Own the LOTO program when equipment/facility maintenance is performed.
• Conduct monthly fire extinguisher and weekly eye wash inspections.
• Support facility needs through installation of short run water lines, drains, etc.
• Lead facility upgrade projects and troubleshoot equipment during downtime.
• Assist process engineering with tool troubleshooting when needed.

Required& PreferredKey Competencies

• Associate’s degree in industrial maintenanceor related field,5 years of laboratory/ industrialmaintenanceand safetyexperiencein lieu of degree.
• At least 1 year experience performing near miss reports, root causes, preventive measures, and safety audits.
• PreferredequipmentPM,PdM, and parts inventory background.
• Experience in site safety,including standard EHS policies.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excell, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred skills

• CAD (AutoCAD) experience. Able to open, view, and decipher drawings.
• EHS software reporting experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability tolift upto 50 lbs.
• This position may require standing for extended periods of time.
