Job summary

Point Pleasant is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to assist with maintenance duties and drive a van when needed. You will handle electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating and cooling, and grounds care to ensure a safe and well-maintained community.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 2–3 years in maintenance, and strong English communication. Candidates must pass a criminal background check and drug test and be able to lift at least 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two to three years of experience in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical or HVAC, and repair of minor equipment.
• The ability to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating and cooling, structural facilities and grounds, and parking areas.
• Responds to service requests from residents, associates and management.
• Monitors outside contractors for compliance with lease agreements, service contracts and warranties.
• Maintains records including serial numbers of equipment.
• Implements preventive maintenance and energy conservation programs.
• Maintains emergency procedures and safety equipment for residents and staff.
• Keeps work area clean and organized, inventories tools and supplies.
• Cleans light fixtures and resident apartment doors; operates housekeeping equipment as needed.
• Performs apartment turnover duties and protects resident safety.
• Adheres to community policies and works collaboratively with team.
