The Vistas at Oxnard Senior Living, located in Oxnard, CA, is seeking a professional, customer-oriented Physical Plant Director to oversee maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance for our community.

Responsibilities of the Physical Plant Director

• Exhibits leadership qualities and communicates professionally with employees, residents, family members, responsible parties, and other healthcare professionals.
• Manages the day-to-day maintenance and operational needs of a 24/7 senior living community.
• Oversees and manages the proper operation of all equipment, mechanical, and grounds systems.
• Implements preventative and predictive maintenance for the physical plant and community vehicles as scheduled and needed.
• Ensures that the property grounds are regularly monitored for safety and the wellbeing of residents, employees, and visitors.
• Manages housekeeping department.
• Responsible for staff scheduling, supply purchasing, budget forecasting, and compliance.
• Coordinates and documents community Safety Committee meetings.
• Plans, budgets, and schedules modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs.
• Participates in new employee orientations and monthly in-services.
• Ensures residents are provided privacy, respect, and dignity.
• Follows standard precautions and infection control procedures.
• Completes state-required training upon hire and annually.

Required Experience

• Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ hands-on experience as maintenance supervisor in a multi-residence or similar setting.
• Basic technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment used in the community.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• State Criminal Background Check and LIC 508 Criminal Record Statement.
• LIC 503 Health Screening Report.
