Job summary

Wynwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking a dependable Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Maintenance Department on-site. The role focuses on planning, directing, and improving preventive maintenance programs within the facility.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of maintenance experience, nursing home exposure, and the ability to read blueprints while adhering to safety and building-code standards. Licensing requirements apply per current regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement, and direct the Maintenance Department and its activities.
• Develop and maintain maintenance policies and procedures.
• Assist staff in policies, equipment, and supplies.
• Review policies and job descriptions annually and propose revisions.
• Coordinate maintenance with Diet, Nursing, Activities, and other departments.
• Provide written and oral reports to the Administrator as needed.
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program.

Qualifications

• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years experience in a maintenance position.
• Nursing home experience required.
• HVAC certification strongly preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs and activities.
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Assist the maintenance staff in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
• Review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions and make recommendations to the Administrator.
• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).
• Make written oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator as necessary/required concerning the operation of the Maintenance Department.
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program.
