Job summary

SNF Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Leader to plan, develop, and direct the Maintenance Department in a nursing home setting. You will oversee programs, implement policies, and coordinate with Dietary, Nursing, and Activities to ensure smooth operations.

The role emphasizes developing preventive maintenance and ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in a maintenance position.
• Nursing home experience required.
• HVAC certification strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs and activities.
• Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
• Assist the maintenance staff in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
• Review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions and make recommendations to the Administrator.
• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).
• Make written oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator as necessary/required concerning the operation of the Maintenance Department.
• Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance program.
