Dahlia Gardens at Aberdeen in Aberdeen, NC is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance and facility operations of our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in maintenance, facilities, or building operations.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all facility maintenance operations
• Supervise, train, and support maintenance staff
• Develop and maintain an effective preventive maintenance program
• Coordinate and complete repairs throughout the facility
• Oversee building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and department priorities
• Inspect the facility and grounds regularly to identify maintenance and safety concerns
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers
• Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code, fire safety, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate fire drills, emergency preparedness activities, generator testing, and required inspections
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Respond to facility emergencies and urgent maintenance issues when needed
• Help ensure the building and grounds remain safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for residents, families, and staff
