Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking a Maintenance Director to ensure safe, clean, and compliant nursing center environments. You will oversee the maintenance team, coordinate repairs, and manage life safety systems across facilities, reporting to the Nursing Home Administrator.

Ideal candidates bring supervisory experience and hands-on electrical/plumbing/HVACR knowledge, with a focus on regulatory compliance, budgeting, and emergency readiness in a care-setting context.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic training/knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVACR systems.
• Prior supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Repairs electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems.
• Provides overall supervision of the maintenance department; including orientation for new staff.
• Maintains fire alarm and emergency generator systems to minimize the potential for fire and accidents.
• Maintains required records and reports; performs budget planning.
• Remains on-call for emergencies seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.
• Operates on the TELS platform for Life Safety, regulatory and daily tasks.
