Job summary

Middleton Crossing, a Sonida Senior Living community in Middleton, WI, is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee grounds, facilities, safety and move-in refurbishments in an independent living setting.

The role emphasizes ensuring equipment functions properly, supervising staff, and coordinating with teams to deliver high-quality care while maintaining safety standards. A strong background in building maintenance and safety is required, with comprehensive benefits and PTO from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds, including outside building repair, lawn maintenance and garbage removal.
• Maintains inside of building, offices, and common areas.
• Maintains and/or oversees repair of Community equipment; ensures that equipment is functioning properly, and staff are trained appropriately in its use.
• Prepares apartments for move-in and refurbishing of units after move-out.
• Maintains fire safety and emergency records, maintenance of systems and inspections required by state.
