Job summary

The Wellington at Arapaho in Richardson, TX is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead all aspects of community maintenance and building operations, ensuring a safe, attractive environment for residents, visitors, and team members.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, manage repairs to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety, and coordinate move-ins/move-outs while fostering a welcoming senior living community.

Qualifications

• Maintenance, facilities, apartment, hotel, or building operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and vendor coordination preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and respond to maintenance needs promptly.
• Passion for serving seniors and delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations for Independent Living and Assisted Living.
• Maintain interior and exterior appearance of the community.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and building repairs.
• Coordinate repairs to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Prepare apartments for move-ins and refresh units after move-outs.
• Ensure life safety compliance, building codes, and state requirements.
• Manage fire safety inspections and maintenance documentation.
• Maintain community equipment and staff training.
• Monitor grounds, landscaping, and curb appeal.
