Prestige Senior Living – Southern Hills seeks a Full Time Maintenance Director in Salem. Monday-Friday, $20-26/hour DOE. You’ll lead maintenance for the care center, oversee repairs, and manage contracted services to keep facilities safe and well-maintained.

You’ll work in a home-like setting, collaborate with a leadership team, and ensure the grounds and buildings meet regulatory standards while supporting residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Vocational or trade school degree in general maintenance.
• Three years of experience in carpentry, electrical or painting; budgets helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering preventive maintenance for the building, equipment and grounds.
• Perform repairs under supervision in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting per codes.
• Arrange for and manage contract repairs, maintenance and construction services.
• Monitor and record building temperatures and adjust to safety codes.
• Ensure adherence to fire safety and hazardous chemical procedures.
• Perform floor care in resident areas.
• Oversee the Maintenance Assistant when applicable.
• Remove trash daily with housekeeping staff.
• Maintain grounds or coordinate with landscape services.

In short, you overseethe care center/community to ensure it is safe for all.

In this job, everyday, you will.

• 1.Assist in delivering preventivemaintenance for the building, equipment, and grounds.
• 2.Perform repairs under the supervision of the Executive Director and within the area of expertise, including mechanical, electrical,plumbing, carpentry, and painting, according to accepted codes.
• 3.Arrange for and manage contract repairs,maintenance, and other construction services to care center/community.
• 4.Monitors and record building and watertemperatures and adjusts to meet regulations and safety codes.
• 5.Ensure strict adherence to community fire safetyand hazardous chemical procedures, promptly address all unsafe conditions orequipment problems.
• 6.Perform floor care on an ongoing basis,including carpeting in resident apartments and common areas of the community.
• 7.Oversees and guides the work of the MaintenanceAssistant, if applicable.
• 8.Remove trash gathered by housekeepers andcaregivers on a daily basis.
• 9.Maintain grounds in a professional, well-groomedmanner by performing grounds maintenance on a regular basis or working with alandscape company to maintain grounds in an appropriate manner.

Education & Experienceyou need to qualify:

You will need a Vocational or Trade School degree ingeneral maintenance or three years of experience in carpentry, electrical orpainting work. Experience with budgets helpful. A valid drivers’ license andaccess to a private vehicle for business use.
