Job summary

Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking a Maintenance Director for a 146-bed skilled nursing facility. You will plan, organize, and direct the maintenance department to keep the facility safe and well-maintained, with pay ranging from $30 to $35 per hour and weekly payroll.

Responsibilities include managing repairs, preventive maintenance, supervising contractors, and ensuring safety standards across the campus. A strong background in building systems and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years supervisory experience in maintenance/plant-related role preferred.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet the maintenance needs of the facility.
• Recognize hazards to residents or staff safety and take action to maintain a safe environment.
• Replace, repair, and purchase items according to facility policy and procedure.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs and document accurately.
• Maintain weather protection against cold, heat, fire, and other hazards.

• Serve on-call for emergency and off-duty hours.
• Perform errands and tasks as required.
• Maintain upkeep of exterior of building and grounds in all weather conditions.
• Demonstrate and teach safe techniques per policy and training.

Job Summary

Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, a 146-bed skilled nursing facility, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our dynamic care team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the maintenance department to ensure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. $30 to $35 an hour, depending on experience, with weekly pay.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• A minimum of three (3) years experience in a supervisory capacity, in maintenance/plant-related position preferred
• Knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel
