Job summary

Majestic Care seeks a Maintenance Director to supervise the maintenance department and ensure the efficient operation of the physical plant and environmental systems at communities in West Virginia. The role requires residing near Fairmont or Morgantown, WV, and involves travel between Hopemont and Manchin locations.

Key duties include scheduling repairs, overseeing Life Safety and maintenance services via the TELS system, and developing preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Empathy and professional demeanor with residents, Care Team Members, vendors, visitors and families.
• Junior supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
• Able to operate computers and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedule repairs and maintenance to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor Life Safety and maintenance services using the TELS system.
• Direct maintenance activities on utility systems to ensure continuous operations.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and stay within budgets and guidelines.
• Prepare and monitor department budget and expenditures.
• Recommend improvements to equipment and operations.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Communicate equipment needs with design engineers.
• Maintain attractive and well-kept grounds.
• Travel between Majestic Care Hopemont and Manchin (1 hour, mileage paid).

Position Overview

The Maintenance Director supervises the maintenance department and is responsible for the efficient function of physical plant and environmental systems as well as the appearance and upkeep of the community grounds. This position requires residing near Fairmont or Morgantown West Virginia.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule repair and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
• Daily follow up of the TELS system for building management and tracking of Life Safety and maintenance services/repairs.
• Direct and participate in maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and ensure all preventive maintenance requirements are met in a timely manner; and within compliance of state/federal and manufacturer guidelines.
• Prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds in budget.
• Recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
• Direct the effort to have attractive and well-maintained grounds.
• Must demonstrate empathy, courteous, kind and professional workplace behavior and customer services to all residents, Care Team Members, vendors, visitors and family members at all times.
• Ability to do all above requirements in shared time between Majestic Care of Hopemont & Majestic Care of Manchin (Travel time 1 hour & mileage is paid).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required.
• Graduation from an appropriate technical/trade school preferred, but not required.
• Ability to use computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications
• Three years of experience in building maintenance; one year of supervisory experience preferred.
