Job summary

Edenbrook St. Cloud, a skilled nursing facility, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Director to oversee maintenance, housekeeping and laundry operations at our Saint Cloud, MN campus.

You will lead a team of about 10 staff, manage preventive maintenance programs, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Strong leadership and hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Boiler License required.
• Experience in maintenance and related trades.

Responsibilities

• Schedule repair and maintenance of equipment to ensure smooth operations.
• Direct and participate in maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Oversee Housekeeping and Laundry operations with ~10 staff.
• Lead safety initiatives and maintain minutes of safety meetings.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
• Read and follow oral/written directions and policy guidelines.

Position: Maintenance Director

Edenbrook St. Cloud, a skilled nursing facility located in St. Cloud, MN, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Director to join our team.

The Maintenance Director will ensure the facility’s equipment and utilities are maintained in good working order and that the facility grounds are properly maintained in accordance with facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations. This position also oversees the Housekeeping and Laundry departments, supervising approximately 10 staff members.

Essential Functions

• Schedule repair and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
• Direct and participate in maintenance activities on utility systems to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Recommend measures to improve the operation and condition of machines and equipment.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
• Direct efforts to maintain attractive and well-maintained facility grounds.
• Participate in the facility’s Performance Improvement Program.
• Lead and maintain minutes of the facility’s Safety Committee.
• Oversee Housekeeping and Laundry operations and supervise approximately 10 staff members.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, with a flexible start time that will remain consistent.
• On-call responsibilities on weekends.

Other Functions

• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of building codes and rules and regulations regarding the operation of plant equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA and other safety requirements.
• Skilled in directing and motivating a workforce.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, their family members, and all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Boiler License required.
• Related maintenance experience at a level necessary to perform the functions of the position, including skills in electronics, carpentry, masonry, and related areas.
• Ability to read and write in English and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
• Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and their families and work cooperatively with other employees.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Must meet all federal, state, and local health regulations, including criminal background investigation and reference inquiries.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to participate in 24-hour on-call responsibilities and respond to emergencies as required.
