Purpose:

Responsible for ensuring that the facility is safe, attractive, well-maintained, and operating within the facility maintenance budget.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Relevant work experience (2+ years preferred)
• Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
• Basic reporting and organizational skills
• Full-time attendance capability
• Must meet all health requirements

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with the Administrator and Director of Operations to evaluate and address routine maintenance needs
• Provide maintenance information through weekly/monthly reports
• Manage routine maintenance of the facility and residents’ needs as if it were your own home
• Assist with fire and life safety training and drills
• Be familiar with life safety and operational systems in the facility
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests
• Perform minor repairs as needed
• Maintain the facility’s mechanical, safety, and aesthetic standards
• Maintain grounds, building exterior and interior, signage, and seasonal foliage
