Job summary

Waterford of Plano, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee grounds, interior spaces, and equipment, ensuring safety and readiness for residents. The role requires coordinating repairs, training staff, and managing inspections in a premier retirement community.

Responsibilities include preparing apartments for move-in, maintaining fire safety records, and ensuring compliance with state requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds and exterior building areas, including lawn care and cleanup.
• Maintains interior of building, offices, and common areas.
• Oversees repair of community equipment and trains staff on equipment use.
• Prepares apartments for move-in and refurbishing after move-out.
• Maintains fire safety records and state-required inspections.

Maintenance Director Responsibilities include:

• Maintains grounds, including outside building repair, lawn maintenance and garbage removal.
• Maintains inside of building, offices, and common areas.
• Maintains and/or oversees repair of Community equipment; ensures that equipment is functioning properly, and staff are trained appropriately in its use.
• Prepares apartments for move-in and refurbishing of units after move-out.
• Maintains fire safety and emergency records, maintenance of systems and inspections required by state.

Qualifications:
