Job summary

Medina Center for Rehab & Nursing in Medina, OH is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee daily operations, ensure safety, and coordinate upkeep of building systems, grounds, and utilities. You will lead maintenance staff, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance, while partnering with leadership to maintain a welcoming, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred.
• Experience supervising maintenance, ideally in healthcare.
• Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety codes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with DOH, OSHA, and Life Safety Code regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Supervise and schedule maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Maintain building systems, equipment, grounds, and utilities in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets, supply orders, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local building codes and regulations.
• Participate in safety committee meetings and support emergency preparedness plans.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility and grounds.
