Job summary

COMMUNITY PHARMACY is seeking a Maintenance Director for our skilled nursing facility to oversee the operation, safety of building, grounds, and equipment, ensuring a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

You will manage the maintenance team and budget, coordinate with contractors, stay compliant with state and federal regulations, and maintain life-safety standards across the campus.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility maintenance, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
• Knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance.
• Leadership and staff management skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Working knowledge of state rules and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain physical plant and essential medical equipment in safe operating condition.
• Oversee outside contractors and tradespeople for maintenance and repairs.
• Manage departmental budget, orders, and inventory tracking.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws applicable to maintenance.
• Maintain records related to life safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure life safety code compliance for maintenance department.

We are seeking a Maintenance Director at our skilled nursing facility to oversee the operation and safety of the building, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The Maintenance Director maintains the physical plant and essential mechanical electrical and SNF resident care equipment in safe operating condition
• Maintains all essential mechanical, electrical and patient care equipment in safe operating condition
• Coordinates and oversees activities of outside contractors, trades-people in construction, repair and maintenance of physical plant and equipment
• Manages departmental budget, ordering supplies and tracking inventory
• Current knowledge of state and federal laws, codes and regulations that apply to maintenance services and records of long-term care
• Able to assure compliance with regulations as they relate to maintenance department and life safety code

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
