Job summary

Wingate Residences at Cranston is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician responsible for facility and equipment upkeep, preventive maintenance, and urgent repairs. You will also provide counsel to management on facility issues and ensure safety protocols.

Join our team to support a senior living community, adhere to policies, and supervise groundskeeping staff as needed. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, and the role is on-site in Cranston, RI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of general maintenance and functions of all equipment.
• Must be able to write/read with clarity to follow instructions.
• Must carry beeper and respond to maintenance calls.
• Must follow personnel, department, and facility policies.
• Must know how to shut off main power, water, and/or gas supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility and equipment, including preventive maintenance and urgent repairs.
• Provide counsel to management regarding facility issues.

JOB PURPOSE:

Maintenance of facility and equipment, including preventive maintenance and urgent repair needs. Provides counsel to management regarding facility issues.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have knowledge of general maintenance and functions of all equipment.
• Must carry beeper and respond to maintenance call
• Must be able to write and read with clarity sufficient to follow instructions.
• Must demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Must read, know and follow personnel, department, and facility policies.
• Must know how to turn off main power supply, water supply, and/or gas supply to facility.
• Must be able to see small details, in equipment, machinery, etc.
• Must be knowledgeable of Exposure Control Plan for Bloodborne Pathogens and Fire & Disaster Plan, and follow policies and procedures.

SUPERVISION OF OTHERS:

Supervises staff members in maintenance and grounds keeping.
