Job summary

Wingate Living is a family-owned senior living provider seeking a Full-Time Maintenance position at One Wingate East, Needham area. The role supports facility and equipment upkeep, preventive maintenance, and urgent repairs with on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities include managing budget and safety programs, handling repairs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while delivering 5 Star service to residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with general electrical and plumbing.
• Carpentry skills.
• Knowledge of general maintenance and functions of all equipment.
• Must carry walkie talkie and respond to maintenance call.
• Must read, know and follow policies.
• Must know how to shut off main power, water, and/or gas to facility.
• Must be able to see small details in equipment and machinery.
• Knowledge of Exposure Control Plan for Bloodborne Pathogens and Fire & Disaster Plan, and follow policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage budget, accounts payable, reports, and required documentation.
• Oversee Preventative Maintenance program and ensure compliance with regulations; maintain equipment, furnishings, grounds, plumbing, and electrical fixtures.
• Respond to repair requests as directed by General Manager.
• Ensure fire safety; conduct monthly fire drills per Life Safety and Federal regulations; participate in safety orientation.
• Chair Safety Committee and oversee safety on the grounds.
• Participate in Quality Improvement and Department Head meetings.
• Handle or supervise snow removal and landscaping; on-call for off-hours emergencies.
• Provide 5 Star service in all aspects of the job and support company quality objectives.

Job Purpose

Maintenance of facility and equipment, including preventive maintenance and urgent repair needs. Provides counsel to management regarding facility issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for budget, accounts payable, reports and required documentation.
• Responsible for Preventative Maintenance program and ensures compliance according to local, state and federal regulations. Maintains all facility equipment in a safe and functioning manner. Maintains furnishings and grounds, plumbing and electrical fixtures.
• Responds to requests for repairs as directed by General Manager.
• Responsible for fire safety. Conducts monthly fire drills in accordance with Life Safety and Federal regulations. Participates in general orientation on fire safety.

• Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
• Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
