Job summary

Wingate Residences on Blackstone Boulevard is seeking a Maintenance position responsible for upkeep of facility and equipment, preventative maintenance, and urgent repairs. The role includes responding to maintenance calls and ensuring safety policies are followed.

As part of our team, you will help maintain the living environment for residents and support management with facility operations, ensuring timely and quality service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of general maintenance functions for all facility equipment.
• Must carry beeper and respond to calls promptly.
• Able to read and write clearly to follow instructions.
• Neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Familiarity with facility policies and safety procedures.
• Able to shut off main power, water, and/or gas supplies as needed.
• Attention to details in equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility and equipment, including preventive and urgent repairs.
• Provide counsel on facility issues to management.
• Supervise maintenance and grounds staff as needed.

JOB PURPOSE:

Maintenance of facility and equipment, including preventive maintenance and urgent repair needs. Provides counsel to management regarding facility issues.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have knowledge of general maintenance and functions of all equipment.
• Must carry beeper and respond to maintenance call
• Must be able to write and read with clarity sufficient to follow instructions.
• Must demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Must read, know and follow personnel, department, and facility policies.
• Must know how to turn off main power supply, water supply, and/or gas supply to facility.
• Must be able to see small details, in equipment, machinery, etc.
• Must be knowledgeable of Exposure Control Plan for Bloodborne Pathogens and Fire & Disaster Plan, and follow policies and procedures.

SUPERVISION OF OTHERS:

Supervises staff members in maintenance and grounds keeping.
