Job summary

La Laurelhurst and Laurelwoods in Columbus, NC seeks a Maintenance Director to oversee community upkeep across external grounds and internal spaces, ensuring safety and efficient operation. You will supervise repairs, prepare units for move-ins, maintain fire safety records, and train staff in proper equipment use.

Qualified candidates bring maintenance background, knowledge of electrical/plumbing systems, and a commitment to safety and quality care for residents across independent and assisted

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds, including outside building repair, lawn maintenance and garbage removal.
• Maintains inside of building, offices, and common areas.
• Maintains and/or oversees repair of Community equipment; ensures that equipment is functioning properly, and staff are trained appropriately in its use.
• Prepares apartments for move-in and refurbishing of units after move-out.
• Maintains fire safety and emergency records, maintenance of systems and inspections required by state.
