Job summary

The Addison of Bluffton, a Sonida Senior Living community in Bluffton, SC, is seeking a Maintenance Director to keep our assisted living and memory care environments safe and well maintained.

You will oversee grounds, exterior and interior maintenance, repair of community equipment, move-in refurbishments, fire safety records and state inspections, while guiding a skilled maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance preferred; familiarity with minor repair and maintenance across systems.
• Knowledge of building safety and hazard reduction preferred.

Maintenance Director Responsibilities include:

• Maintains grounds, including outside building repair, lawn maintenance and garbage removal.
• Maintains inside of building, offices, and common areas.
• Maintains and/or oversees repair of Community equipment; ensures that equipment is functioning properly, and staff are trained appropriately in its use.
• Prepares apartments for move-in and refurbishing of units after move-out.
• Maintains fire safety and emergency records, maintenance of systems and inspections required by state.

Qualifications:

• Experience in maintenance preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction preferred.
