Job summary

The Addison of Bluffton, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a full‑time Culinary Services Cook to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for residents in an assisted living and memory care setting.

Responsibilities include assisting the Culinary Services Director, maintaining dining standards, and ensuring timely, sanitary meal service. A High School diploma and ability to read recipes are required; experience with large-volume meal prep is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with volume meal preparation for large groups preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and menus; work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for residents in a timely, sanitary manner.
• Assist Culinary Services Director in maintaining an organized dining services department.
• Prepare meals for assigned shifts and ensure service meets quality standards and cleanliness.
• Label and store leftovers properly and maintain safe food handling practices.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
