Job summary

Trustwell Living is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Director to lead all maintenance operations across our senior living community. You’ll oversee repairs, coordinate licensed pros, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Role requires 2+ years in maintenance, ability to lift 75 lbs, and knowledge of OSHA/Life Safety Code. Expect collaboration with vendors, budgets, and preventive maintenance scheduling in a dynamic care setting.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a senior living or similar setting.
  • Skills in at least two of carpentry, painting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or refurbishing.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time and tasks independently.
  • Friendly, respectful demeanor with residents and families.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs and safely operate tools/equipment.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, Life Safety Code and assisted living regulations (or willingness to learn).
  • Experience in senior living, hospitality, healthcare, or property management.
  • Proficient with basic computer programs to track maintenance logs and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances, or oversee licensed pros when needed.
  • Prepare apartments for new residents (painting, carpet cleaning, etc.) to give them a fresh welcome.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs of the property, inside and out.
  • Manage maintenance records, budgets, preventative maintenance schedules, and inventory.
  • Partner with vendors and contractors to get bids, manage projects, and ensure quality work.
  • Keep us in compliance with safety regulations and disaster preparedness plans.
  • Support residents and staff with quick responses to work orders and facility needs.
