SEPTA in Philadelphia seeks a dedicated worker to sweep, clean, and wash vehicle interiors and exteriors, and to operate a passenger vehicle at Authority locations, including the 69th Street Terminal.

Responsibilities include cleaning shop areas and restrooms, painting and loading trash, and adhering to all safety procedures. A valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is required to qualify for this position.

Overall Description

Sweeps, cleans, washes interior and exterior of vehicles. Operates passenger vehicle in and around Authority locations. Cleans shop areas, restrooms and other areas as required. Peforms others duties including scraping, painting and loading trash.

Specific Responsibilities

• Must be proficient in the cleaning of vehicles and all areas of the locations listed above, including but not limited to shop areas, restrooms, administrative areas, etc.
• Operates passenger vehicle in and around the Authority locations.
• Scrapes and cleans floors, walls, walks, and all SEPTA facilities.
• Paints various items as required, such as shop equipment, etc.
• Sweeps, cleans, washes vehicle interior, exteriors.
• Polices premises for debris, trash and scrap; loads into truck for removal.
• Complies with all Authority and departmental safety and security policies and procedures as well as all applicable job safety responsibilities. Reports any safety concerns, compromises or hazards affecting operations, the public, self and/or other employees. Responsible for personal safety and is encouraged to promote the safety of others.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have ability to understand and execute written and verbal orders.
• Must possess valid Pennsylvania driver's license or equivalent.
