Job Overview

Clean Scapes is looking for an exceptionally talented Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader. This role involves overseeing crew members, scheduling, training, and ensuring maintenance work meets contract specifications.

Responsibilities

• Work with Account Managers and Property Managers to ensure efficient maintenance service implementation.
• Provide on‑job training to crew members.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing the daily schedule with the Maintenance Manager.
• Oversee job sites and actively participate in duties such as mowing, edging, weeding, blowing, debris removal, shrub/bush pruning.
• Assess job site needs, identify potential issues, and communicate findings with Account Manager.
• Perform loading and unloading of power equipment, tools, materials, and debris daily.
• Verify appropriate levels of fuel, oil, and radiator coolant for equipment and vehicles.
• Secure necessary equipment for safe travel to and from sites.
• Wash truck weekly or as indicated by management.
• Oversee crew usage of proper safety equipment, ensuring all crew members have the necessary safety materials and are operating safely.
• Report liability situations to appropriate departments promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

This position requires up to 10 hours or more per day, including brisk walking for extended distances, heavy lifting up to 80 pounds, and frequent bending, twisting, and lifting from the ground to waist level. Manual dexterity and use of landscape related tools that involve digging, raking, and extreme physical movements are necessary.

Working conditions may include inadequate lighting, restricted movement, dirty environments, air contamination, extreme temperatures in the summer and winter, exposure to poisonous plants, animals, insects, intense noise, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery or equipment operation. The employee must remain physically coherent and aware at all times, particularly when dealing with heavy machinery, equipment, or while driving.
