Job summary

Danone North America is seeking a Manager, Maintenance Cost Optimization to drive cost-efficient maintenance across our manufacturing network. This role focuses on equipment reliability, maintenance practices, and site capabilities while leading productivity projects and optimizing expenditures.

The position is hybrid, with up to 50% travel; you will collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations to standardize PM plans and reduce spare parts inventory.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, procurement and manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, packaging science, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations or engineering roles within a CPG food and beverage environment.
• Proven success in implementing programs across multi-site operations.
• Expertise in TPM, IWS, Lean, and digital manufacturing tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement maintenance cost optimization initiatives.
• Reduce maintenance costs across Danone North America.
• Participate with Engineering on capital projects and innovation to ensure maintenance cost efficiency.
• Lead best practice identification and deployment across the manufacturing network.
• Drive reduction of maintenance costs through supplier management, sourcing strategies, and partner collaboration.
• Benchmark maintenance best practices and drive standardized implementation.
• Partner with appropriate function to ensure maintenance cost optimization.
• Review and implement reverse engineering opportunities and alternative strategies to reduce maintenance repair parts inventory and spend.
• Implement standardized storeroom best practices and regional approach to spare parts to reduce inventory and improve availability.
• Support development and implementation of technical training center for capability building.
• Provide local support in the implementation of Infosys as an external partner to standardize purchasing practices and reduce overall maintenance spend.
• Ensure MVP is optimized to minimize excess spare parts inventory.
• Assist manufacturing plants in the development of annual maintenance budgets and forecast updates.
• Standardize PM plans and execution across like technology and platforms in the organization.
• Provide support to manufacturing sites to enable sustainable execution of maintenance initiatives.
• Develop and review scorecard and metrics on PM execution.
