Connect-Force is hiring a Maintenance Coordinator to join our Fleet Operations in Plymouth, MI. You will coordinate emergency repairs, communicate with drivers and vendors, and ensure timely maintenance for heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

This role blends hands-on knowledge with operations coordination in a hybrid work setting. The ideal candidate has experience with diesel trucks, hydraulic systems, and at least 1 year of related work.

Formación

  • Experience with heavy-duty trucks, diesel equipment, fleet maintenance, or coordinating vehicle repairs.
  • Strong understanding of truck mechanical systems, particularly hydraulic systems.
  • At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn maintenance management software.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mentality.

Responsabilidades

  • Keep Drivers Moving: Coordinate emergency roadside repairs and maintenance services for heavy-duty trucks and specialized transportation equipment.
  • Be the Problem Solver: Communicate with drivers, mechanics, vendors, and internal teams to resolve mechanical issues and minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate Repairs: Arrange maintenance services, follow up on repair progress, and ensure equipment gets back on the road safely and efficiently.
  • Support the Team: Work closely with operations and terminal personnel to coordinate solutions when equipment breaks down.
  • Help Drivers Along the Way: Assist with transportation and lodging arrangements when unexpected breakdowns occur.
  • Stay Organized: Maintain accurate records of repairs, service updates, and maintenance activities.
  • Keep Everyone Informed: Provide detailed updates to drivers, maintenance teams, and incoming shifts to ensure a smooth transition of ongoing repairs.
  • Make an Impact: Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, and overall fleet efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, communicates well, and can think on their feet when challenges arise.

Ideal qualifications include:

  • Experience working with heavy-duty trucks, diesel equipment, fleet maintenance, or coordinating vehicle repairs.

  • Strong understanding of truck mechanical systems, particularly hydraulic systems.

  • At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and make decisions under pressure.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Comfortable working with drivers, mechanics, vendors, and operations personnel.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn maintenance management software.

  • High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school experience is a plus.

  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mentality.

Experience as a Diesel Technician, Fleet Maintenance Coordinator, Truck Service Advisor, Roadside Assistance Coordinator, or Maintenance Dispatcher could translate well into this opportunity!
