Job summary

UBE Corporation America Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Coordinator at our Perth Amboy, NJ facility.

The role supports plant operations with maintenance expertise, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes cross-department collaboration to meet team goals. You will manage spare parts inventory, process SAP-based purchase requisitions, coordinate parts deliveries, and assist with preventive maintenance work orders and safety orientation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or trade school training in mechanical equipment.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience with maintenance and pumps.
• Ability to review equipment problems and prioritize work orders.
• Familiar with pump repair, welding/pipefitting, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily plant efficiency by supporting maintenance and plant departments at the Perth Amboy facility.
• Maintain storeroom stock; set and adjust inventory targets; use SAP to create purchase requisitions and receive deliveries.
• Locate parts, process orders with procurement, track orders, and ensure deliveries reach the right person.
• Maintain SAP data for maintenance parts, parts lists, and inventory targets; perform physical inventories.
• Work with vendors to resolve parts/supply issues and assist with work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Facilitate Contractor Safety Orientation and assist with work notifications and distribution of PM work orders.
• Conduct daily plant-wide inspections and document Near Misses; assist with other tasks as directed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining daily efficiency of the plant operations by providing additional support of the plant maintenance/plant department for the Perth Amboy NJ facility.
• Maintain adequate stock in the maintenance storeroom by setting/ assessing/ adjusting inventory target levels, taking frequent inventories of parts, using SAP to create purchase requisitions to maintain inventory as well as receive deliveries and restock storeroom.
• Support plant and maintenance team by locating parts, using SAP to create purchase working with procurement on placing orders, following up on orders, receiving deliveries, and ensuring parts and supplies get to the correct person.
• Maintain SAP data such as maintenance part purchasing information, parts lists, and max/min parts inventory targets.
• Performs physical inventory of the parts/supplies.
• Receive parts to maintain required inventory, must be able to recognize/understand correct parts and correct supplies and equipment that is required.
• Work with vendors to resolve any issues with parts/supplies, delivery dates, etc.
• Facilitate Contractor Safety Orientation.
• Support plant and maintenance teams by assisting with the maintenance work order process by reviewing/editing work notifications, preventive maintenance work order, print and distributing work orders.
• Daily plant wide inspections including writing Near Misses.
• Assist with other tasks as directed.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Trade School Training on Mechanical Equipment or possible welding and pipefitter training.
• 3 – 5 years of professional experience in manufacturing environment.
• Good problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to review daily equipment problems and determine ability to complete work order.

• Demonstrated knowledge Familiar with all tools, pump repair & installation, pipefitting, equipment repair, etc.
• Must be able to initiate PM maintenance, preferable experience in pump repairs, welding/pipefitter experience.
