Job description

Position is responsible for purchasing and evaluating repair parts along with maintaining close relationships with vendors to continuously improve and lower company costs. This position also requires a large concentration of time performing research and development for the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • PM System in SAP – oversee inputting of machinery, creation of PM schedules, etc.
  • Research and Development of parts and equipment
  • Maintain maintenance crib
  • Work closely with vendors to purchase best quality parts at the best price
  • Maintain keys and security records
  • File and maintain Maintenance PM records.
  • Maintain database for the "Asset Management Program"
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager with the scheduling of the "Top Ten List".
  • Help chart the Maintenance measurables for BOS.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager lead the Maintenance and Set-Up teams with Lean principles, Quick Change Technology, Total Predictive Maintenance, Cell Design, and 5 S.
  • Employee must perform his/her job within acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks and applicable work instructions.
  • Overtime as required/requested.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Asset Management (Asset tracking and record keeping)
  • Maintain records for standardization of parts
  • Help maintain maintenance library (manuals/prints)

CRITICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred 2-year technical degree
  • Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA guidelines
  • Must be able to troubleshoot machinery
  • Must have proficient blueprint reading skills
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics
  • Must be able to read hydraulic prints
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Office environment – includes, but not limited to, artificial lighting, computers, telephones, desks, temperature controlled.
  • Manufacturing environment – includes, but not limited to, artificial lighting, machine/equipment noise, some welding exhaust, non-controlled temperatures, and PPE required.
  • Some travel which could include an overnight stay.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to sit frequently for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to move about the plant in both the office and manufacturing areas.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Manual dexterity for computer work.
  • Ability to communicate in an effective manner.
  • Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs.
